Women asking men to dance

At most contra dances I've been to, both men and women will ask people to dance, but men do more of the asking. I think ideally men and women would ask in about equal amounts. What would we need to do differently, as a community and as individuals, to get there?

On the Beach

I really like going in the water and this beach is a great place for building sand castles and boogie boarding. I also like trying to float on top of big waves. I'm not very good at it. I only float on the flat waves.
