  • Belief Listing Project: Atheism

    July 26th, 2011
    atheism, current_beliefs
I don't believe that there are any gods. I do think that religion fills important social roles and that many people are happier for being religious. Trusting that god will take care of you, that you are part of a larger plan, is very powerful. Shared spiritual experience turns out to be a very effective thing to build communities around. I think I might be happier if I did believe in god. But belief must follow evidence, and in this case I have no evidence.
