I've been using uncooked flour tortillas, so I tried to start with an uncooked one. That was mediocre. A cooked one went into the microwave to melt the cheese, which took close to a minute, and was then fried. That worked. The third one was toasted and then left in the hot skillet (off the heat) to melt the cheese. As soon as it's let go, the gas is shut off.
