I have one of these

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E6T50LY/

and it has a headphone jack right on it that can give you a mix of the analog input(s) and the sound coming from the soundcard, so no analog-to-digital-to-analog latency. Before I had it, I would set things so that I couldn't hear the instrument I was recording in my headphones, then pull one of the headphones off and listen to the instrument acoustically with that ear. (Of course with a purely electronic instrument you'll need to plug it into an amp separate from the computer or something.)

EDIT: I'm looking at the interface you have:

https://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-1818VSL

and it has a headphone jack on it. Is that what you're using? If you're hearing a delayed signal, you might need to

1. turn off \"software playthrough\" or whatever in your software so that you don't hear your input after A/D conversion
2. and tweak one of the knobs on the PreSonus to hear the raw analog input in your phones.

EDIT 2: From my read of the PreSonus manual:

https://pae-web.presonusmusic.com/.../AudioBox1818VSL...

it doesn't look like it has the thing I'm talking about.
