But spending money in that order does nothing to change the current system of agribusiness and big food that's having such a huge negative environmental and health impact on our society. I feel that buying most of my food from local farmers or my local food coop, I am voting with my dollars on a better system. Maybe just being a mindful consumer isn't the way to change the food system in our country, and if anyone has any better ideas, I'd love to hear them.
