The interface is pretty easy to use--at least to me. You can try the app without having the mixer -- look in the app store. They're talking about controlling a DAW with OSC, but VSL isn't a DAW. You can add a DAW to the setup, but then latency goes way up. That post is also from before presonus had released their ipad app.
(Acronym soup: VSL is \"virtual studiolive\", a program that runs on your laptop and provides a virtual mixer. DAW is a \"digital audio workstation\" and can do the mixing instead of VSL, but still needs to talk to VSL.
