The team had found that a portion of OspA looks very similar to lymphocyte function\u2013associated antigen 1 (LFA-1), a human protein involved in the body's immune response. They posited that this mimicry might explain why a small fraction of genetically susceptible people who seem to have been cured of B. burgdorferi infection continue to show symptoms of arthritis. Did you know that Lyme is also transmitted like an STD? They REALLY screwed up with the last vaccine and there was a lot of shady stuff going on.  Also - they need to stop saying things like, \"seem to be cured\" because it has been PROVEN that the Borrelia bacteria can hide in cyst forms, cell-wall deficient forms and in bio-film so that once the antibiotics are stopped, they can resume the infection.  The IDSA Guidelines are defunct as they have expired. The symptoms subside for a while and then may return with a vengeance and may become chronic.  Then the very same doctor who facilitated the development of  the chronic disease will deny that such a thing exists so you are screwed.
