It sufficed for most bands in the simple hall we had, but had much room for improvement in input count, output count, EQ, et cetera. Enough so that my own Mackie ProFX16 (first gen) was often called upon for certain events. It better met our regular-dance needs, but when we did actually upgrade, we went digital and we went big, sorta, with the QSC TouchMix-30Pro. Technically a 19\" rack-mountable size, it has 24 XLR preamps, (4 are combo) plus some additional stereo line inputs to make \"30.\" It has 14 aux outputs plus the main L/R. (We now use 4 independent monitors, a caller monitor, then 2 auxes for our down-the-hall repeaters.) We have worked with this beast for a year now, and I do indeed like this thing. You don't HAVE to have an external control device, but if you do, the Android and iPad apps are identical to the onboard control touchscreen, so you only have to learn the environment once. It is, however, potentially  intimidating to folks who have never worked digitally. (We have been gradually improving on this front, as our volunteer sound folks get more time at the console. I learned on the board you have now (that exact one, thanks for buying it from me!), and I have since borrowed or rented tablet-controlled ones. I found the learning to be much faster and easier on the digital than the analog. To be fair, I had already spent a lot of time fiddling with analog, and actually reading the manual through, before getting to digital systems, so my experience was clearly different that way too.<br>But I did spend a lot less time trying to figure out why suddenly no sound was happening on the digital systems (after 1 or 2 times using it) than I did with your current board. Plus the lack of EQ was pretty frustrating. (I hope it has been at least worth what you paid for it, otherwise).<br>     Ability to run from a variety of devices sounds like a nice feature. It was/is time to retire our Entertainer board(s) after a lot of recent crankiness. <br><br>I'm currently using a Raspberry Pi desktop as our primary control interface with Behringer's available-on-linux(!) application and it's very responsive/performant - I wanted a cabled network connection available in case of wireless issues. We also have the phone/tablet apps.<br><br>I was able to set up tonight's \"scene\" at home so all we'll need to do is dial in channel gain with the performers to be basically ready to go. My co-organizer is in their eighth decade and had a bit of initial technology shock at seeing the interface but was functional with making adjustments after about two hours of playing with the system (compared with their 40+ years of Entertainer use).<br><br>The tablet/phone app is \"easier\" but accomplishing things requires hopping around between screens where on the desktop app you can see/tweak it all right from the main screen, almost as if you were on an analog board.
