I gave Home Depot permission to notice when I use my primary credit card, so that they automatically connect the purchase with their loyalty program, and I can review the purchases and print out duplicate receipts on their loyalty program website.  When I shop at Harbor Freight, I give my phone number, and they email me a receipt as well as handing me a paper receipt.  Similar for many other stores.
